The Independent Accountants Association of Michigan was established in 1946 to represent the interests of non-licensed accountants in Michigan. Through the years, the IAAM has evolved into a diverse organization providing programs and services that help accountants and tax professionals elevate professional competency and standing while protecting their rights to practice without undue restriction.
The MRTP was developed to specifically help members with tax-dominant practices comply with growing IRS regulations for tax preparers and effectively compete in a challenging market. Our programs and services are developed to help enrolled agents, certified public accountants, non-licensed accountants, and non-credentialed tax preparers. The typical member ranges from an owner/shareholder in a firm of 2 to 10 employees to a sole practitioner working either full or part time in the profession.
